                The Rio Vista Police Department is a dynamic and proactive municipal policing agency responsible for the professional and effective delivery of services to the City's 8,500 residents and thousands of annual visitors. The Rio Vista Police Department is recognized by the Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST).

Rio Vista, located in the eastern end of Solano County, is a unique community, enjoying benefits of rural surroundings while being centrally located between the major population of centers of Fairfield, Lodi and Brentwood.  The Police Department enjoys tremendous support from the community and it provides residents and visitors alike thorough patrol and investigative services. The Police Department participates in numerous community outreach programs and events that foster a sense of security and safety to those living and visiting here.
