The Rio Vista City Council is comprised of a Mayor and four City Councilmembers who are each elected by the people for staggered four year terms.  The City Council meetings are held the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall located at One Main Street in Rio Vista.  They also conduct a special Council meeting on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the same location.  Regular Council meetings are televised on local Channel 26.
