Jack Krebs was elected to the city Council in November of 2008. In 2007 he retired from his third career, that of business school teacher and department head, after 20 years at the University of Phoenix. During that time, he also taught at the College of Notre Dame, National University, Sacramento State University and the UC Davis. Concurrent with his teaching experience he also provided consulting services in the area of strategic planning, business planning and various management fields. Some of his clients were Polaroid Corporation, Micro Component Technology, Inc., Moscow Foreign Trade Bank, Chevron Overseas Petroleum Company, San Jose USD and the City of Rio Vista.
After high school came two years in the Navy and graduation from college (BS, B.A.) He then pursued an entrepreneurial career in the construction industry. His experience includes residential, commercial and mechanical. His second career included proprietary vocational education - spending over 20 years as owner/manager and a corporate executive for ITT and International Industries.
Since moving to Rio Vista 1993, he has served as president of the Chamber of Commerce, president of Rio Vista Rotary, seven years with Rotary District 5160 as chairman of the Scholarship Committee and finally assistant governor. Chairman and CEO of Rio Vista Foundation. He lives in town with his wife , Hask.
